First off what is Google Adsense? Google Adsense is a program that helps site owners generate revenue by placing adds "From Google" on your site. Once the adds are placed on your website everytime the add gets clicked "You" get paid a small amount depending on the traffic and click through rate.
It didn't take me long before I found myself wondering what Google Adsense was all about. I was on Myspace and I saw an add that caught my eye, an add a lot of people probably clicked "I make $1700 a month posting adds with Google" What they don't tell you is that you need your own website to post these adds. From what I learned and my research over the past couple of months it takes a lot to even earn a dime with Google Adsense.
First you need your own website meaning you must "own" the domain and have some sort of hosting. Also what they don't tell you is you have to pay for a domain name and hosting you can visit godaddy.com for that its probably the cheapest.
Second you need to find a "Niche" something to talk about, a topic, hobby, a site about something that will interest other people, could be a site that sells things, could be a blog, could be just a normal forums that people chat on such as video games or golf.
Third you need traffic, they don't tell you that it takes a lot of time for people to visit your site and it takes some time to even build up a decent reputation and have a steady flow of followers/viewers. There are some websites that help promote your site kind of like myspace or you can use the Google adwords program "Which you have to pay them to post up ads on relavent searches to your topic, you usually see those when it says "Sponsored Links" meaning google gets paid from the site owner everytime someone clicks your page.
Google adsense can be profitable to people who can find something interesting for others to read or look at, eventually they can get distracted and click an add on the page and BOOM you get paid. There are other things such as "Google Search" where you put a search engine from google in your page, then once used if someone clicks an add outside of the search you get paid. Its a long an enduring process but once you got it down you can be making a living from the desk of your own home.
